I want to thankyou so much for your help with Harley & Daisy, I know you said their behaviour would not be cured overnight but I have already seen differences in them, Harley now walks perfectly on the lead without pulling at all. They also listen to the quiet command when barking, this all obviously still needs work but I am determined to sort them out. You have helped us so much.  Thankyou  Lesley Pilbeam  

He was convinced the settee was his bed

HI Terasa,

I just wanted to drop you a line to thank you so much for all the helpful advice you gave me with reference to Louis my 3 year old and the night time growling at us.

We implemented your instructions and found that by the end of the week his behaviour changed. Basically it was our fault and we were giving him mixed messages. He was convinced the settee was his bed (which it was!!!) and so he now has his own space and only gets on when invited.

The growling has stopped now and he seems a happier boy because of it. Now we just need to work on the chickens to stop then hitching a ride on his back whenever he comes into their coop!!!

I have seen so much improvement

Hi Terasa, I just want to thank you so much with my totally boisterous dog, I have seen so much improvement since you left! What was so obvious to you and not to me amazes me! Persistent pulling on the lead and barking..

Hi Terasa,

Just wanted to let you know how pleased I am with the advice you gave me with regard to Louis and his persistent pulling on the lead and barking aggressively at cars that drive past us!  It has only been a week and today, having just come back from a walk, I can honestly see a light at the end of the tunnel!  He is starting to pull less on the lead with me using the correction and advice you showed me last Tuesday.  Thanks again and I will certainly be recommending you to friends and family with ‘problem’ dogs.

Constant jumping a biting at people

We have a 9 month old Black Labrador and up until now have been at our wits end with her constant jumping a biting at people.

It was never an aggressive problem but she could hurt young children or old people we hated letting her off the lead when on walks. With a Lab they need a lot of exercise and we were desperate to get her fixed so we can let her run about with panicking every time we walked her.

After some research on the internet we came across Terasa on her Doggie SOS website and thought we had to contact her as it looked liked she had experienced a difficult puppy too. So we called and within days Terasa was with us.

She quickly saw the issue with Flo as she immediately jumped, bit and nibbled at Terasa. We could immediately see Terasa had a natural way with Flo and after less than 30 mins she had commanded respect from Flo.

She introduced a pet correcter and when Flo jumped or bit she used this tool to break the cycle of Flo biting. She also let us practice with Terasa coming through the door and and Flo quickly learnt not to jump up at her or nip her. We also learnt the 'leave it' command when giving treats but also when introducing other dogs and people. We are still practising this and she has been better ever since.

Now we have been putting into practice the tricks encouraging her not to bite and jump and it seems to be working and she is jumping and biting less and less.

For us this is genius as we never thought it possible to do and we are getting more confidence with Flo and enjoying walking her more too.

I would recommend Terasa to anyone who has dog issue's, just get it seen to and sorted which will make living with your dog enjoyable not stressful.

Hi Terasa, hope you are well :) OK, so I got the horn. Took Flo out for a walk armed with horn and on a  short lead...she was like a different dog! No pulling, walking to heal..genius! Also met a few women with dogs, at one point she went to jump so I honked the horn and stopped her in her tracks...also had a cleaner come round again the same thing..its really working woot woot! Thanks so much, its the last Floism to nail and I think we will do it! Much appreciated and made me so much more confident about walking her :) x

Like a completely different dog

Terasa I would like to thank you for your help and knowledge in helping me with my 4yr old Labrador, I have stuck by what you have showed me and to great success I have succeeded In keeping the aggression at bay, he has not showed any signs and is like a completely different dog.

I know I was showing all the wrong signals and making him worse. But after I took on board about being a leader he now respects me.

Thanks so much for coming to see us last Friday. We have already seen such a difference in Hector’s behaviour! Your advice was very helpful and I really feel much more confident about how to handle different situations with him.

Your ability to assess the situation and offer sensible advice immediately made me feel more positive about the problems we had with him. You had Hector sussed very quickly and I was totally amazed at how speedily he responded to you.

I couldn’t believe my eyes when within a few minutes you were able to leave a piece of sausage under his nose and he didn’t touch it until he was told to! I know that the hard work starts here and that it will take lots of dedication on our part to follow through your instructions but given the difference in his demeanour already, I feel convinced that we will be able to change bad habits and enjoy the very best that Hector has to offer.

Your ongoing support by way of texts and emails is really reassuring and it’s good to know that you are always there if I need some advice. I will certainly be recommending you to anyone I know who is in need of some support with their four legged friends!

Tremendous progress

Harvey and I are making tremendous progress thanks to Terasa. Her methods have worked brilliantly and after just 2 home visits and a couple of phone calls I have a dog who no longer drags washing off the lline, chews shoes, takes food off the work-tops, or playfully bites and scratches me. With a bit more practice I’m hopeful the postman will be able to visit again.

Terasa has a lovely calm, professional approach to her work and you can tell she is passionate about her work. I can’t thank Terasa enough for the difference she has made to our household – it is now the calm and happy place it should be, with the dog at the bottom of the pack. Helen -Farnham

Even the girls find it much better taking him out

Thank you for your help with Alfie. I have carried on with the corrector spray and horn and his walking has improved so much. It is now a pleasure to take him out walking and his barking has got better. We are still carrying on with the tips you gave us and even the girls find it much better taking him out. Growling when being picked up.

I consulted Terasa, when my 10 week old Cockerpoo started growling when being picked up.

Terasa came to my house, fully equipped with treats. Ialready knew quite a bit about puppy training from having had a dog before andalso from reading a lot about dog training. However, I didn’t get my previousdog until he was 10 months old and he was already brilliantly trained, so Ididn’t need to go through all the tricky bits!! My knowledge, therefore, attraining a young puppy, was quite theoretical!

Having Terasa here, was really helpful. We discussed all my theoretical knowledge andmade sure I knew what I was doing in practice!! Many of things I was doing weregood, but we perfected the timing of rewards and corrections with certainbehaviours. And there were plenty ofquestions I had, too! She also worked really well with my two children, includingthem in the training and giving them practical advice.

As to the growling, she gave us some practical tips thatworked well and she was happy to answer additional questions by e-mailafterwards.

I found the session very useful, providing me with additionalpractical advice and also with confidence that I was going in the rightdirection.
